Star Exemption Information
The Basic Star Exemption for people under 65 years of age does NOT need to be renewed annually.
The Enhanced Star Exemption for people over 65 years of age MUST be renewed annually. Property owners that will turn 65 before December 31, 2011 must apply for the enhanced Star exemption by March 1, 2011. The annual income limit for the 2011 tax roll will be $79,050 (2009 income tax year).
