	The Van Buren Park and Recreation Department would like to thank everyone who came out to participate in our fishing derby on May 12, 2007. We had a huge turnout of 150+ kids participating in our derby this year, 130 kids more than last year!! Throughout the course of the morning several contests were held. Below are the winners for each category: Longest fish (ages 11-16): First place - Robert Hyde (14in.) Second place - Jack Kenny (11.5 in.) Longest fish (ages 6-10): First place - Jerid Williams (18 in.) Second place - Abraham Clute (17.5 in.) Longest fish (5 and under): First place (boys) - Jack Voorhees (8.5 in.) First place (girls) - Kaylie LaFrance (8.5 in.) Second place (boys) - Kyle Ingison (7.5 in.) Second place (girls) - Hannah Mazzoni (7.75 in.) Casting contest (ages 11-16): Pat Hourihan - less than 1 foot from the target Casting contest (ages 10 and under): Matt Feustel - less than 1 foot from the target The Park would also like to thank our local Walmart store, on Rt.31, for donating the prizes and some of our concession stand supplies. This was a huge help in order to make our derby run so successfully.
