DESCRIPTION: Runs mid-May until late August. The Coed Softball League consists of eight (8) teams, and each team must have a minimum of 4 women on the field at all times; however, more women to men are allowed (i.e., 7 women 3 men). A.S.A. rules will be followed, unless otherwise stated.
DATES/TIMES/LOCATION: All games will be played in Van Buren Central Park; the ballfield entrance is off Conners Road. The exact dates the league will run will be posted in early April, when final arrangements are made with the Coordinator. Games are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm., with makeup games (if necessary) Sundays from 6:30-8:30pm.
LEAGUE FEES: The 2008 League Fee is $205.00, made up of the following:
Participation Fee (non-refundable): $150.00 per team.
Forfeit Fee: $32.00 per team. This fee is refundable if you do not forfeit during the season. However, should you forfeit and we need to use this fee to pay the umpire, then the fee MUST be repaid to the Parks and Recreation Office before your team takes the field again!
Registration & Book fee: $25.00 per team. This pays for registering your team with the umpire's association, and for your score and rule books.
