Notice is hereby given that the Van Buren Town Board will hold a public hearing at the Van Buren Town Hall, 7575 Van Buren Road, Baldwinsville, New York on February 16, 2010 at 7:35 pm to hear comments on a proposal to consolidate the Interstate Island Park Sewer District Extensions No 1 and 2.
The Interstate Island Park Ext. No 1 is financed on an ad valorem basis and Ext. No 2 is financed on a benefit basis. Ext. No 2 does not have any indebtedness.
The benefits of this consolidation are as follows: consolidated bookkeeping, costs of future repairs will be spread over the entire district and not borne by only the area involved, any costs of future expansion of sewer service will be spread over the entire district and all future expenses on maintenance, operation and improvements will be paid for by all properties in the consolidated district.
Any interested persons will be given an opportunity to speak for or against this proposed consolidation.
